Join us at the Southern Alberta Professional Development Consortium offices for a 75 minute workshop covering grade 3 Building with a Variety of Materials and Testing Materials & Designs. Ed Kusmirski, P.Eng., of the Alberta Science Network will review the basic concepts of push, pull and twist as they relate to the design and construction of structures.
You will also be divided into teams and guided by a worksheet will proceed through a series of experiments geared to increasing your familiarity with structures that support, span, reach, etc., and how these structures react to various loads and potentially fail.
