Learning Opportunities

 Participants will be encouraged to work with peers from across the region as they spend the day in conversation and work focused on expanding the shared understanding of a concept-based focus on curriculum, unit, and lesson planning and delivery.  Participants will be encouraged to share their own understanding to this point and work together to come away from the day with an expanded network of peers who are working together to build units, lessons, activities and assessment practices that can be used in their classrooms.  Subsequent meetings (in person and possibly through technology) are anticipated to provide opportunity for feedback, reflection and refinement as individual understanding expands through the conversation and application process.

We want to emphasize that no previous experience is necessary – we’re all on the journey.  This is a pilot collaborative project which may be expanded depending upon interest as other grades come on stream moving forward.

We anticipate setting a spring date for the group to follow up on the work developed during this day.
