LLI Digging Deeper
This is a working session for teachers who have attended the first two days of LLI. Teachers will have an opportunity to dig deeper into the implementation of LLI; deepening their expertise with daily lessons, analyzing Reading Records, and accelerating student’s progress.
In this session we will look closely at:
Reading Records; teaching from data
Problem solving complex students;
Revisiting the lessons; how to best move students forward
It is important for teachers to bring their Reading Records in order to problem solve and support the work with their students.
Bonnie is presently a Reading Specialist/Consultant for Edmonton Public Schools, with a master's degree in reading and a certified Reading Recovery Teacher Leader. She had in-serviced numerous teachers, administrators and literacy leaders across Alberta on the administration of the Benchmark Assessment System; gathering and interpreting the data to plan for reading instruction as well as the implementation of Levelled Literacy Intervention using the Orange to Teal Systems. Bonnie has taught Grades 1-10 and her passion is providing literacy programming, which ensures literacy success for all students.
