Are you a secondary general science, biology or chemistry teacher who would like to experience cutting-edge scientific research at the University of Lethbridge and get to know some new and exciting inquiry-based learning activities, labs and resources for your science classroom?

GlycoNet is a consortium of Canadian carbohydrate research laboratories that has partnered with CMASTE at the University of Lethbridge to allow practicing science teachers to work with leading-edge scientists in their labs during the summer to produce high-quality, curriculum-linked activities and resources for use in Alberta high school science classrooms.  In order to facilitate the use of these resources, the carbohydrate research lab at the U of L invites you to visit their facilities, meet their scientists and try out these new and exciting, locally developed resources.

This workshop will include:
- half day visit to the carbohydrate research laboratory at the University of Lethbridge
- half day hands-on experience with some of the resources available

This learning opportunity is provided free of cost for participants through a grant from the National Research Centres of Excellence Canada
