Join us at the Southern Alberta Professional Development Consortium offices for a 90 minute workshop covering grade 5 Electricity and Magnetism and elements of Mechanisms Using Electricity. Ed Kusmirski, P.Eng., of the Alberta Science Network will review the basic concepts of electricity and magnetism in ways that you can easily explain to your students.
You will also be divided into teams and guided by a handout will proceed through a multi-station series of experiments and demonstrations geared to increasing your familiarity with the concepts of series and parallel circuits, motors and generators and magnetism and magnetic fields.
Alberta Science Network workshops give you classroom ready resources and ideas and enable you to teach science units with more confidence and clarity.
