Leveld Literacy Intervention System authored by Fountas & Pinnell is a short-term, supplementary intervention system proven to improve literacy achievement of struggling readers with engaging leveled books and fast-paced, scaffolded designed lessons. LLI empowers adolescent learners to make measurable progress in reading and writing proficiency, and transfer these reading strategies across the disciplines. LLI is proven to close the gap for these struggling readers

Highlights of the Leveled Literacy Professional Learning
Participants will be introduced to the online resource platform
Betty Howell has worked as a Literacy Support teacher teaching student groups using the Leveled Literacy materials as well as providing learning sessions for implementing LLI systems. She served on a steering committee to initiate “Accelerating Reading and Writing Achievement of Significantly Delayed Adolescents” and create areas of balanced literacy programming and strategic teaching for students with literacy delays in the Brandon School Division.
